CDT has developed a variety of software speech training products, the most recent of which are the Speech Perception Assessment and Training Systems, SPATS-HI for hearing impaired listeners, and SPATS-ESL for students of English who are not native speakers of that language. Another recent product, is the Test of Basic Auditory Capabilities, Version 4, a battery of eight subtests that provides reliable measures of basic auditory abilities, in the form of percentile ranks relative to a large sample of young adults with normal hearing. CDT also conducts contract research projects in its own facilities, and provides consulting on auditory research studies developed by other organizations.
